this was on postsecret this sunday and it's like my own but it's no secret. lately i've been really thinking about my future and have come to the conclusion of graduate school and getting my doctorate here at VT, but i am absolutely terrified of it. i'm not sure if the idea of being a Dr. scares me or the process or the idea of "having it all figured out" but being wrong-maybe a little of all three with an emphasis on the last. anyway it works out i suppose i'll just take it one day at a time and embrace the madness that may or may not ensue....

signs

so i get caught up in signs.

i see them almost everywhere and im constantly thinking that everything means something. my boyfriend sometimes questions me, claiming basically that i see what i want to see, a sort of self fullfilling prophecy situation...-maybe he's right.

but i can't help but think that there are metaphors everywhere, i think you just decide to acknowledge or reject the signs of everyday life. i think some signs are more obvious than others, but all are of the same importance.

maybe i'm crazy but there's some peace found in the fact of life showing you things, giving you hints.

everything works out in the end, maybe not the way you thought it would, but the way it was supposed to be, it all works out.
